Domestic, commercial and industrial gas-fired (central) heating installation, servicing and repair works, and works related to all other gas fired appliances; all are related to plumbing systems and their installation.

It is involving other sub groups and cathegories: gas fitting, pipe fitting, and others. Concretely, plumbing consists of planning, project preparing, installation and repairs. For example are repaired fittings, pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment. These are used for water disposal (waste), water distribution (drinking) and ventings in domestic or commercial buildings, further in institutional and industrial constructions and buildings (finished).

A plumber has always strictly to be skilled in: he has always to test all pipes for leaks (air and water pressure gauges), has to be able read all projects, plans and blueprints, all drawings and specifications to determine layout of water supply, waste, and venting systems, he has to be able to maintaining, repairing and installing all types of plumbing fixtures and systems (whether domestic, commercial or industrial), he has to lokate and positions for pipes and connections, holes for all passages and fixtures such as in walls, under roofs and in floors etc., he has to meet safety standards and build regulations, has to measuring, cut, bend and thread all pipes (hand or machines), he has to communicate with other co-workers, traders or subcontractors, he has to manage and plan, he has to perform difficult and complex calculations for very specialized and different projects, he has to provide time and cost estimates like labor and materials, he has to be comfortable with spaces or heights, he should aware of (legal) regulations and safety instructions, rules and all other issues.
