INSULATION

Thermal insulation is used to reduce the supply of thermal energy from objects or entire buildings to their environment through the use of insulation.
Examples of heat insulation of items or equipment are blankets, cooling and heating systems, including its pipelines. Building materials such as steel, concrete and glass, but also natural stones are relatively good heat conductor, so that the resulting constructed exterior walls of buildings in cold weather very quickly, the heat from the inside to the outside.

SEALING STRUCTURE

The sealing structure in the DIN 18195. Depending on the part of a sealing material linings, blocking layers or coatings are used. These are in addition to the relevant standards and the requirements of the manufacturer.
Other special structure seals are Pikotage.
The Pikotage is a sealing of joints structure or openings with wood, wedges of wood, wood or wood stopper plugs, which are also called Picot. A good example is the watertight seal of segments in a shaft.

In this group also includes polyester (PES), polyurethane resins for coatings and bitumen, surface coatings, and virtually all of synthetic resins such as epoxides and bitumen.
Bitumen is a vacuum distillation of petroleum derived materials. There is a virtually non-volatile, sticky and caulking, oil produced product with depending on temperature, elastoviskose behavior, and one of the best materials for sealing.
