As a receiving antenna also suitable for sending and vice versa. Some designs prevent a reciprocal use.
The size of the antenna elements is aimed primarily on the wave length, so the frequency is a very important criterion for the selection and construction of an antenna.

Species:

Among the most well-known species, there are reference antennas, space antennas, linear antennas, reflector antennas, antennas and magnetic antennas. By the way, an average antenna, is an outdoor antenna.
