10. ROAD CONSTRUCTION

The construction of roads and road are occupied with the building and development of roads and ways. It is in the range in the city the continuation of the traffic planning and outside of the localities the continuation of the town planning.

The construction of roads and road affect also different ranges of the civil engineering, like the bridge construction or the foundation engineering. If necessary first a route must be provided with heavy construction machines. For the drainage a canalization can be necessary. The topic noise control is added. All this belongs to the range civil engineering.

With road construction roads are made from concrete, bitumen, plaster or of free material for example crushed stones. The production takes place thereby with larger construction measures with a road finisher with bitumen routes andor with a sliding form manufacturer or a concrete manufacturer with concrete roads. Small construction measures and repairs are implemented often manually.

Important points with road construction are:

- Choice of the assigned machines,
- Choice of the inserted material,
- Attention of the environmental condition such as temperature, rain, wind etc.,
- Sufficient compression at the correct bitumen temperature.

The building load of roads as basis of the traffic is different in each country and with some it between federation, countries and municipalities is divided.
